GROW HOLLYWOOD

Revitalizing THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF Hollywood Through Innovation, InvestmenT, and Economic Development
rooted in arts and culture

Grow Hollywood is an economic development initiative dedicated to revitalizing Hollywood through holistic, place-based economic development strategies.

We bring together public and private partners to attract investment, activate underutilized spaces, support local businesses, strengthen Hollywood's cultural economy, and create new opportunities for residents, entrepreneurs, and the creative workforce.

Our work connects entertainment, technology, arts and culture, education, tourism, and neighborhood revitalization to build a more vibrant, economically resilient Hollywood.

A Hollywood that works for everyone

Hollywood should be a place where people work, create, invest, and participate. By connecting arts and culture with innovation, investment, and economic opportunity, Grow Hollywood envisions a vibrant neighborhood that benefits residents, businesses, creative professionals, and visitors alike.

Our Three Major initiatives

01 Creative Economy Innovation Corridor

A vision to transform Hollywood Boulevard into a thriving corridor connecting entertainment, technology, arts and culture, local businesses, and public spaces. By building on Hollywood's historic character, we aim to attract investment, activate underused properties, and create a more vibrant, walkable neighborhood.

Learning from others

Across the world, cities are demonstrating how strategic investment, creative industries, adaptive reuse, and public-private partnerships can transform neighborhoods and generate lasting economic growth.

From Detroit's emerging cultural corridor to London's Olympic legacy, Paris's startup ecosystem, and New Jersey's innovation district, these initiatives offer valuable lessons for Hollywood. Each demonstrates what becomes possible when a clear vision brings together investment, innovation, and community development.

Grow Hollywood is looking to these models to build a revitalization strategy rooted in Hollywood's unique cultural history, creative economy, and global identity.

O1 - LITTLE VILLAGE, DETROIT

Creative Corridor

Little Village is revitalizing three historic Detroit neighborhoods through arts, adaptive reuse, and public space. Its expansion includes Stanton Yards, a 13-acre waterfront development with $15.6 million in planned investment.

O2 - HERE EAST, LONDON

Olympic Legacy

Built from the former media center of the 2012 London Olympics, Here East is now a campus for technology, education, and creative industries. By 2021, it had contributed £700 million to the economy.

O3 - Station F, Paris

Adaptive Re-Use

Station F transformed a historic railway depot into a major startup campus connecting entrepreneurs, investors, and technology companies. In 2025 alone, its startups raised €1.5 billion in funding.

O4 - THE HELIX, NEW JERSEY

Innovation Network

The HELIX brings universities, research institutions, startups, and private industry together in a coordinated innovation district. With more than $2 billion in planned investment, the development is projected to generate approximately $880 million in annual economic activity.
